Healthy Breathing Starts Here

Breathe Freely With a Healthier Airway

By gently widening the upper jaw and creating more space in the airway, expansion therapy makes breathing easier day and night. It supports nasal breathing, reduces crowding, and builds a healthier foundation for lasting comfort and balance.

  • More Space to Breathe – Expanding the arches reduces airway resistance so air flows freely through the nose and throat.
  • Better Facial Balance – Guided growth supports proper jaw alignment and a stable, natural smile.
  • Lasting Benefits – Airway expansion addresses the root cause for results that remain even after treatment is complete.

A Note From Our Founder

Hi, I’m Dr. Kelly Standish-Mayo

At North Florida Sleep & Airway, we focus on the source of breathing issues. A narrow airway can affect sleep, energy, and even the way teeth and jaws develop.

For many patients, airway expansion and orthodontics create more space to breathe and support a healthier bite. As the arches widen, the tongue has room to rest in the right place and airflow becomes more natural.

If you have sleep apnea or snoring, we also offer Oral Appliance Therapy (OAT). This small, retainer-like device gently positions the lower jaw forward to help keep the airway open during sleep.

Some patients come to us after struggling with CPAP. OAT is quiet, compact, and easy to travel with, which makes it easier to use consistently.

If you are not waking rested, have been told you snore, or want a long-term plan to improve breathing and alignment, we can help.
