Non-Surgical Airway Support
What is Nightlase Laser Therapy?
NightLase® is a gentle, non-surgical laser treatment designed to tighten and support airway tissues—helping reduce snoring and improve airflow during sleep, with no downtime.
✔ Gentle Laser Therapy
NightLase® uses light-based energy to firm soft palate and throat tissues, reducing vibration and airway collapse without surgery.
✔ Comfortable & Non-Invasive
Treatments are quick, comfortable, and performed in-office—no anesthesia, no cutting, and no recovery time needed.
✔ Ideal CPAP Alternative
NightLase® is a great option for patients with snoring or mild sleep apnea who cannot tolerate CPAP or want a non-surgical solution.
How laser airway expansion works
What Is NightLase® Laser Airway Expansion?
NightLase® uses controlled laser energy applied to the soft palate and surrounding tissues at the back of the throat. Over a series of 2–3 in-office sessions, the laser gently stimulates collagen remodeling, causing the tissues to become firmer and more stable.
As these tissues tighten, they are less likely to collapse or vibrate during sleep—helping to open the airway naturally and reduce obstruction.
This treatment:
- Does not remove tissue
- Does not involve incisions
- Requires no anesthesia
- Has minimal to no downtime
How Nighlase® supports airway function
Why Strengthening the Airway Matters
When soft tissues in the back of the throat are too loose, they can collapse or vibrate during sleep—restricting airflow and disrupting breathing. NightLase® addresses this problem at the source by gently tightening the soft palate and surrounding airway tissues.
By improving airway stability, patients experience quieter nights, easier breathing, and better overall sleep quality.
✘ Snoring from Tissue Vibration
Loose soft-palate tissue is a leading cause of snoring. NightLase® firms these tissues over a series of 2–3 sessions, reducing vibration and helping quiet breathing during sleep.
✘ Restricted Nighttime Airflow
When airway tissues collapse, oxygen flow drops. Laser treatment helps stabilize the airway, allowing for smoother, more consistent airflow throughout the night.
✘ Limits of Appliances Alone
Oral appliances reposition the jaw—but they don’t address soft-tissue collapse. NightLase® enhances Oral Appliance Therapy by improving tissue tone, helping appliances work more comfortably and effectively.
Better Sleep, Without Surgery
What to Expect from NightLase® Treatment
NightLase® is a gentle, non-invasive laser treatment designed to reduce snoring and improve symptoms of sleep apnea by tightening airway tissues—without surgery, needles, anesthesia, or downtime.
Quick Treatments
~20–30 minutes per session
Few Treatments
3 sessions spaced about 3 weeks apart
No Anesthesia needed
No anesthesia or needles required
Fast Recovery Time
Return to normal activities immediately
Sleep Apnea Treatment
A Powerful Partner to Oral Appliance Therapy (OAT)
Oral Appliance Therapy (OAT) works by gently repositioning the lower jaw forward to help keep the airway open during sleep. While this improves airway structure, it does not fully address soft-tissue collapse in the back of the throat.
NightLase® laser therapy complements Oral Appliance Therapy by tightening and stabilizing the soft palate over a series of 2–3 treatments. Together, these therapies work in harmony to improve airflow, reduce snoring, and support more consistent breathing—without surgery or CPAP.

A Note From Our Founder
Hi, I’m Dr. Kelly Standish-Mayo
Airway health and dental alignment are closely connected. When the upper arch is too narrow, the tongue has less room and breathing can become strained.
Our airway expansion approach gently widens the arches over time. This creates space for natural nasal breathing and supports a more balanced bite and facial growth.
As alignment improves, patients often notice easier breathing, steadier sleep, and a smile that looks and functions better. This is orthopedic guidance that addresses the foundation, not just the symptoms.
Whether you are seeking a healthier airway, a broader smile, or both, we can design a plan that fits your goals and lifestyle.
